FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Rhode Island Self Defense Alliance publishes its initial list of Rhode Island legislators for the upcoming Fall elections; Contrasting those candidates in contested races who are defenders, and those who are clear enemies of the Second Amendment in the Ocean State.
Providence, RI: The Rhode Island Self Defense Alliance, an all volunteer advocacy organization operating under the registered nonprofit Gaspee Project, today published an initial list of contested races whose candidates are deemed defenders, and those who are clear enemies of the Second Amendment in the Ocean State.
"We feel this initial list is an excellent start to separating those candidates in Rhode Island who we deem champions of the Second Amendment, and those we feel strongly will continue working to diminish and eventually destroy the fundamental, obvious, and God-given right of every citizen to effectively defend him or herself against a predator," stated Mike Puyana, the RI Self Defense Alliance Spokesman.
"An informed public is a powerful force to proper and moral governance," Puyana continued. "Although many of the harmful bills that openly threaten our freedom of self protection did not pass in this last legislative session, the threat of government mandated defenselessness remains all too real in our state from the same legislators every year. Therefore, this Fall's elections are critical to the Second Amendment community throughout Rhode Island."
The RI Self Defense Alliance awaits data compiled by the 2nd Amendment Coalition prior to finalizing their list, yet seeks to initiate the discussion in regard to those General Assembly seats in contention by publishing a preliminary list of supporters and enemies of Rhode Islanders' natural right to self defense:
